Rana Segal - Producer, Director
Rana Segal is an award-winning director, producer and cinematographer. Her work has aired on PBS, The Learning Channel, and Discovery Channel. She has filmed artists and musicians in Senegal, the Midsummer Festival in Sweden, architecture on the Chicago River, fishermen in the wilds of Siberia, the effect of the Exxon Valdez oil spill on the communities in Alaska, and the fight in the Indiana Dunes between environmentalists and industrialists. Her latest film called, “The Oracle of Bronzeville” is about the life of poet, Gwendolyn Brooks and the creation of the Gwendolyn Brooks Monument, by sculptor, Margot McMahon
Laurie Little - Producer
Laurie Little is a Chicago based filmmaker, educator, digital artist, colorist and founder of the production company, Luminist Films. As a documentarian, she uses an observational style to focus on personal stories and social justice issues to help motivate discussion, mobilize advocacy and change the narrative. Her award-winning films and collaborations have screened in film festivals worldwide. Laurie's most recent film "Musher" following the lives of four female sled dog racers on the Lake Superior south shore race circuit, is currently streaming on PBS, Amazon and Apple TV+. Little holds a BFA from York University and an MFA in Cinema and Television Arts from Columbia College Chicago where she teaches Media classes. She also teaches Documentary Production at the College of DuPag
Vincent Singleton - Producer and camera
Vincent Singleton has directed numerous short films and documentaries that have screened in festivals, on television, and online. He teaches film production and design at various colleges and institutions throughout Chicago and has been the recipient of faculty development grants throughout his fourteen year teaching career. Singleton continues to operate Film Collective Productions through which a variety of corporate, narrative, documentary, and commercial projects are produced.
Natasha Moon - Associate Producer
Natasha is a full-time marketing and event coordinator for a local and award-winning real estate company, Baum Revision. As she forges her own path into the film industry, she's currently had the pleasure of working on two documentary films. "It Was Written", a feature-length true story of Chicago’s Graffiti scene, it’s an in-depth look at what sets it apart from anywhere else in the world and her first short observational documentary, currently untitled. As a part-time photographer, she's driven by the power of visual storytelling. "It allows my subjects to be both soft and strong, dueling expressions I intend to nurture."
Lauren Racquel - Camera
Lauren Racquel is an African-American cinematographer. She began her film career working on commercials for a number of high profile companies and clients. Although, prior to film she has five years of theatre experience. Her love for documentary work goes far beyond the reaches of her camera lens. With a B.A. in Sociology, and in the process of completing her M.S. in Cinematography; Lauren has found a way to merge her love for life and art into one medium.
Justin T. Jones - Camera
Justin is an award-winning documentarian and cinematographer based in Chicago. His films have screened at festivals across the country and internationally, including the BEA Festival of Media Arts, Ethnografilm Paris, and the Fresh Coast Film Festival. As a cinematographer, Justin often works across genres and styles, from experimental to traditional narrative and documentary. Originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, his work is currently focused on personal stories of people and place and family dynamics in the rural Midwest. Justin is finishing his MFA in Documentary at DePaul University. When not making movies, he enjoys cross-country skiing and film photography.
Kimmer Olesak - Camera
Kimmer was trained at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He has been in the film and video business for 30 years as one of Chicago’s most talented Directors of Photography, whether it is commercial, corporate communication, or film work. Most recently you can see his work in the mini-series documentary, Kind Hearted Woman, which was shot for Frontline on PBS.
