“A Monument for Ida B”
A Documentary Film in the Making About the Ida B. Wells Monument
Chicago filmmakers Laurie Little and Rana Segal are working on a documentary film about the life of Ida B. Wells and the creation of a monument honoring her work designed by renowned sculptor Richard Hunt.The monument will be installed on the site of the old Ida B. Wells public housing development in Bronzeville. A short trailer from the film will be shown along with a talk back with the directors.

Co-sponsored by the Chicago Women’s History Center and the Chicago Public Library Women’s History Month and African American History Month Committees.
